Censorship woes for Kya Super Kool Hai Hum!

The Censor Board has issued an A certificate for the initial promo cut of Balaji’s upcoming release, Kya Super Kool Hai Hum, thanks to bold language and sexual undertones.
However, taking it in their stride, the makers sat on a whopping 19 cuts of the promo, until it was finally passed with a U/A certificate. “The Censor Board objected to the original promo since it had several dialogues with double-meaning. Ekta (Kapoor) sat on the editing, and post 19 cuts, the promo was given a U/A certificate, which could play in theatres. She, however, also feels that the original had a better impact and it will go viral with an A-rated warning, for those keen to view it,” a source was quoted as saying.
Tanuj Garg, CEO of Balaji Motion pictures confirms, “Yes, the CBFC (Central Board of Film Certification) requested a few dialogue cuts for the trailer and we complied. The U/A version will be seen nationwide, while the A version is essentially for web consumption.”
The sequel to the film Kyaa Kool Hai Hum (2005), is scheduled to release on August 2, and stars actors Tusshar Kapoor, Riteish Deshmukh, Neha Sharma and Sarah-Jane Dias.
